Sweden and Germany Reach New Heights in FIVB Beach Volleyball Rankings
Last weekβs Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Baden Challenge winners hit new milestones in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings. Swedenβs young duo Jacob Holting Nilsson & Elmer Andersson climbed to eighth in the world for the first time, while Germanyβs Linda Bock & Louisa Lippmann broke into the top 30, reaching 27th in the womenβs rankings.
The 20-year-old Holting Nilsson and 19-year-old Andersson earned 800 points in Baden, netting 5,420 total points after adjusting their previous scores. Their rise moved them ahead of Norwayβs Mathias Berntsen & Hendrik Mol.
Germanyβs Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalists Nils Ehlers & Clemens Wickler climbed to 10th after claiming silver in Austria, while Franceβs Remi Bassereau & Calvin Aye jumped three spots to 17th.
Norwayβs Anders Mol & Christian Sorum remain comfortably at the top with 8,160 points, well ahead of Swedenβs Olympic champions David Γ hman & Jonatan Hellvig in second, and Argentinaβs Nicolas & Tomas Capogrosso in third.
