Sweden and Germany Reach New Heights in FIVB Beach Volleyball Rankings
Last week’s Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Baden Challenge winners hit new milestones in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings. Sweden’s young duo Jacob Holting Nilsson & Elmer Andersson climbed to eighth in the world for the first time, while Germany’s Linda Bock & Louisa Lippmann broke into the top 30, reaching 27th in the women’s rankings.
The 20-year-old Holting Nilsson and 19-year-old Andersson earned 800 points in Baden, netting 5,420 total points after adjusting their previous scores. Their rise moved them ahead of Norway’s Mathias Berntsen & Hendrik Mol.
Germany’s Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalists Nils Ehlers & Clemens Wickler climbed to 10th after claiming silver in Austria, while France’s Remi Bassereau & Calvin Aye jumped three spots to 17th.
Norway’s Anders Mol & Christian Sorum remain comfortably at the top with 8,160 points, well ahead of Sweden’s Olympic champions David Åhman & Jonatan Hellvig in second, and Argentina’s Nicolas & Tomas Capogrosso in third.
