Weather Update: 15–19 September 2025
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, moist currents from the Arabian Sea are entering the upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also expected to approach from the evening/night of 15th September and may continue till 19th September. Under these conditions, rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are likely in several regions.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
From 16th to 19th September, rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected in many districts including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Hangu, Karak, and Waziristan.
Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan

Kashmir: Scattered rain and thunderstorms are likely in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur from 15th to 19th September. Heavy downpours may occur on 16th and 18th September.

Gilgit-Baltistan: Isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected in Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar from 16th to 19th September.
Punjab & Islamabad

16th–19th September: Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.

18th–19th September: More widespread activity is likely in Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Faisalabad.
Isolated heavy falls are also possible.
Sindh
The weather will remain mainly dry across most districts. Coastal areas may experience partly cloudy skies.
Balochistan
Dry weather conditions are expected in most parts of the province.

Landslides are possible in vulnerable hilly regions of KP, GB, Kashmir, Murree, and Galliyat.

Heavy rainfall could trigger an increase in water flows in local nullahs/streams of Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and Kashmir on 18th–19th September.
