Pakistan T20 Squad Assembles in Bangladesh for Three-Match Series Starting July 20

DHAKA – Pakistan’s T20 squad has begun arriving in Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming three-match T20I series scheduled to begin on July 20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

This tour is an important part of Pakistan’s ongoing preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, providing a competitive platform for players to prove their mettle under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson.

First Batch of Players Arrives

The squad traveled in two groups from Karachi to Dhaka via Dubai. The first group to arrive in Bangladesh includes:

  • Saim Ayub

  • Fakhar Zaman

  • Salman Ali Agha

  • Mohammad Nawaz

  • Abrar Ahmed

  • Khushdil Shah

  • Faheem Ashraf

Several members of the coaching and support staff have also reached Dhaka. The remaining players are expected to join the squad shortly.

Full Series Schedule in Dhaka

All three T20 matches will be played at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on the following dates:

  • 1st T20I: July 20

  • 2nd T20I: July 22

  • 3rd T20I: July 24

This short tour will offer valuable match experience as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) continues to assess and rotate players ahead of a busy international white-ball calendar, including upcoming Asia Cup and ICC events.


High Stakes and High Expectations

The T20I series is expected to generate strong interest from cricket fans in both countries. Bangladesh, playing at home, presents a significant challenge for Pakistan’s relatively fresh lineup, offering a real test of form, strategy, and squad depth.
