PTA Ranks Ufone and Jazz as Top Mobile Networks for Coverage in Latest Q2 2025 Survey

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released its Quality of Service (QoS) Survey for the second quarter of 2025, revealing the country’s best-performing mobile networks in terms of 3G and 4G coverage. According to the independent survey, Ufone and Jazz secured the top positions, offering the most consistent signal strength across major cities.

Survey Overview

The QoS survey was conducted between April and June 2025 in 19 cities across Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PTA tested over 43,000 voice calls and SMS, alongside 340,000+ broadband samples, to evaluate overall service quality.

Mobile Network Coverage Rankings (4G + 3G)

PTA assessed network coverage compliance based on signal strength benchmarks with 90% confidence level, using devices in auto-detect mode to mirror typical user behavior.

Cities Included in the Survey

To ensure diverse representation, the PTA selected a mix of urban and semi-urban locations:

  • Punjab: Multan, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Chiniot, Shakargarh, Mandi Bahauddin, Pindi Bhattian, Jatoi, Hasanabdal, Fateh Jang

  • Sindh: Karachi (Central), Larkana, Jacobabad, Umerkot, Matiari

  • KP: Mardan, Mansehra, Buner, Risalpur

Survey teams traveled 2,570 kilometers over 70 days to gather real-time data using industry-standard methods.
