OAKA Basketball Arena Rebranded as TELEKOM CENTER Athens

The Athens Olympic Sports Complex (OAKA) is entering a new era as its iconic basketball arena and surrounding facilities are now officially named TELEKOM CENTER Athens. This comes after a five-year naming rights partnership between COSMOTE TELEKOM and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, extending through 2030.

The deal is one of the most significant commercial agreements in Greek sports, elevating OAKA’s status as a premier sports and entertainment destination.

What’s Included in the Rebranding

The new TELEKOM CENTER Athens branding covers:

  • The fully renovated basketball arena

  • Adjacent training facilities and auxiliary buildings

  • Surrounding areas, including the P5 parking zone with capacity for 1,100 vehicles, which already hosts cultural events

The vision is to transform the complex into a multi-purpose entertainment hub, open year-round for families, students, visitors, and sports fans alike. The venue will host major sporting events, concerts, festivals, conferences, cultural shows, as well as dining and leisure experiences.

Modernization and Global Recognition

The rebranding aligns with Panathinaikos and White Veil’s efforts to modernize OAKA into a hub for sports, entertainment, and digital innovation.

With this change, TELEKOM CENTER Athens joins world-class Telekom venues like the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, and Telekom Dome in Bonn, highlighting its growing international profile.
