PDMA Confirms Decline in Monsoon Intensity, Rivers Still Under Flood Pressure in Punjab
Lahore – September 10, 2025
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported that the intensity of the monsoon season in Punjab has eased, with no major rise in river flows expected in the coming days.
Monsoon Spell Comes to an End
According to the PDMA Director General, the tenth spell of monsoon rains across Punjab has concluded. The upper catchment areas are no longer receiving significant rainfall, and forecasts suggest that heavy downpours are unlikely next week.
Despite this decline, flood conditions remain in several rivers, and authorities continue to closely monitor water levels.
