SanDisk Launches the World’s Smallest 1TB USB-C Flash Drive
November 7, 2025
SanDisk has announced its latest innovation — the SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive, which the company says is the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. Compact, lightweight, and powerful, this new drive is now available in select markets, with the 1TB version priced at $119.99.
Compact Design for Everyday Use
The SanDisk Extreme Fit comes in a plug-and-stay design, ideal for laptops, tablets, and other USB-C devices such as MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iPad models.
It measures just 18.50 x 15.70 x 13.60 mm and weighs only 3 grams, allowing users to keep it connected to their device without adding bulk or compromising portability.
Fast Performance with USB 3.2 Gen 1
Equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, the flash drive delivers read speeds of up to 400MB/s across all variants — from 128GB up to 1TB.
While it offers fast data transfers for photos, videos, and documents, SanDisk mentions that it is not optimized for high-bitrate video capture (for example, 4K 120fps ProRes video recording on iPhones).
System Compatibility and Software Support
The drive is compatible with Windows 10 and later, macOS 12 and above, and iPadOS 15 or newer.
SanDisk also includes its Memory Zone software for Windows and Mac, allowing users to manage files, perform automatic backups, and free up storage space easily — making it a complete portable storage solution.
Storage Options and Availability
The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive is available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. All versions come with a five-year limited warranty and are now available through SanDisk’s official website and Amazon US.
Competing Devices
Other recent launches in the portable storage market include the Lexar 6mm-thin USB-C portable SSD, offering 400MB/s speeds and up to 1TB capacity, and the Corsair EX300U SSD, which supports up to 1100MB/s transfer speeds, MagSafe compatibility, and capacities of up to 4TB.
