Scone and La Hache Advance to Jockey Club Open Final

The 60th Jockey Club Open semifinals took place on Wednesday, September 17, in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, with Scone and La Hache securing spots in the championship match.

In the first semifinal, Scone faced Kazak, making two lineup changes with Mia Cambiaso and FΓ©lix Esain coming in for Poroto Cambiaso and Santino Zedda. Despite the adjustments, Scone dominated the match, thanks to a stellar performance by TomΓ‘s Panelo, named MVP, leading his team to an 8-6 victory over the French-based Kazak. This marks Scone’s second consecutive final appearance, having fallen to La Hache in last year’s championship.

In the second semifinal, titleholders La Hache clashed with Pilot. Pilot led from start to finish, overcoming challenges from Hilario Ulloa and his teammates. Jeta Castagnola was unstoppable, scoring eight goals and putting La Hache’s defense under relentless pressure. Pilot claimed a 13-9 win, returning to the final for the first time since 2019, when they last lifted the Jockey Club Open trophy.

Fans can now look forward to an exciting showdown as Scone and La Hache battle for the prestigious title in what promises to be a thrilling final.
