Toshakhana Case: Court Summons Army Officers as Witnesses Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi
ISLAMABAD: The special judge central on Monday summoned two army officers to testify in the ongoing Toshakhana case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
The development came after a six-hour-long hearing inside Adiala Jail, where the court concluded the cross-examination of two key witnesses, including an approver, Sohaib Abbasi. The case revolves around alleged irregularities in retaining a Bulgari jewelry set from Toshakhana gifts.
Witnesses Cross-Examined
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand presided over the proceedings. The defence team carried out an extensive cross-examination of:

Sohaib Abbasi, a private appraiser who had earlier submitted an affidavit in the case.

Inam Shah, the former personal secretary of the ex-prime minister.
Both were questioned in detail by the defence lawyers regarding their earlier statements.
Army Officers Summoned
The court has now summoned two more witnesses to appear at the next hearing:

Brigadier Muhammad Ahmed, former military secretary to the prime minister.

Colonel Rehan, deputy military secretary.
Their testimonies are expected to further shape the proceedings of the high-profile case.
Presence in Court
During the hearing, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented before the court. Also present were Mr. Khan’s three sisters and members of the defence legal team, including Barrister Ali Zafar.
