Punjab Budget 2025–26 Sees Significant Increase in Government Office Funding

The Punjab government’s budget for the fiscal year 2025–26, presented on June 17, has drawn attention for its notable increases in allocations to top government offices.
Major Budget Hikes for Key Offices
According to official documents, the Chief Minister’s Office will receive Rs. 1.46 billion, an increase of Rs. 230 million from last year.
Meanwhile, funding for the Governor House has seen a substantial jump—rising from Rs. 161 million to Rs. 1.537 billion. The budget for provincial ministers’ offices also saw a sharp increase of 204%, from Rs. 350 million to Rs. 1 billion.
