FBISE Plans Model Examination Centers with Modern Facilities
ISLAMABAD, Sept 12 – The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) is preparing to launch model examination centers across the country, equipped with modern facilities to raise testing standards, Chairman Dr. Ikram Ali Malik announced on Friday.
Modern Facilities for Students
According to Dr. Malik, each center will feature a dedicated library, along with computer and science laboratories for conducting both theoretical and practical examinations. The initiative aims to provide a transparent, fair, and streamlined testing process for students.
He further revealed that land for the project has already been allocated, while final approval is currently under review.
Fee Relief for Needy Students
Addressing concerns about rising examination fees, the FBISE chairman confirmed that a special committee has been formed to design a mechanism for waiving fees for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Students registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or other recognized welfare schemes will be entitled to completely free education and examinations, ensuring no eligible student is left behind.
A Step Towards Educational Reform
Education experts believe that the establishment of these controlled examination centers could mark a major milestone in Pakistan’s examination system, improving not only facilities but also credibility and efficiency in academic assessments.
