Punjab Introduces Free Birth & Death Registration Across Province
ATTOCK – In a major step towards improving public services, the Punjab government has officially implemented the Birth and Death Registration Rules, 2025, making the entire registration process completely free for all citizens across the province.
A seminar was held at the District Council Hall in Attock to raise awareness about the new rules. The event was organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Local Government and Community Development Department.
📌 Free Certificates for All
Officials announced that birth and death registration is now free of charge, and digital certificates will be provided at no cost through Union Councils and Municipal Committees. This applies to cases reported within seven years of occurrence.
“This is a citizen-friendly reform that eliminates the need for a court decree for late registrations,” said Deputy Director of Local Government Khawaja Hassan.

The seminar also emphasized children’s constitutional rights under Article 25-A, which ensures:
