Brisbane Heat Launch “Shaheen’s Fan Bay” to Celebrate Shaheen Afridi’s Big Bash Debut

BRISBANE: The Brisbane Heat have announced an exciting initiative for BBL 15, dedicating a special fan zone named “Shaheen’s Fan Bay” at the Gabba to celebrate Pakistani fast-bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi during his first season in the Big Bash League.

Afridi, who was selected as the first overall pick in the BBL draft this year, will headline Heat’s bowling attack and is expected to draw strong support from fans both in Australia and abroad.

A Festival for Fans

“Shaheen’s Fan Bay” will be active during five home matches, offering a lively festival atmosphere with themed merchandise, cultural music, and interactive fan activities. To make the experience more convenient, free public transport via Translink buses and trains will be available for ticket holders on matchdays.

According to Brisbane Heat officials, the initiative is designed not only to celebrate Afridi but also to create a space where fans can enjoy blockbuster encounters featuring Pakistan’s biggest cricket stars.
