Train Services from Karachi Delayed Due to Monsoon Rains

KARACHI: Ongoing monsoon rains and unfavorable weather conditions have caused delays in train services departing from Karachi to various parts of the country, with many trains running behind schedule by one to two hours, according to railway officials.

The Pakistan Express, scheduled to leave for Rawalpindi at 2:00 PM, departed 45 minutes late at 2:45 PM. Other major services, including the Shah Hussain Express and Millat Express, were also delayed by approximately 90 minutes.

Here are some of the key delays reported:

  • Allama Iqbal Express (to Sialkot):
    Departed at 4:40 PM, over an hour late from its scheduled time of 3:30 PM.

  • Pak Business Express (to Lahore):
    Left at 5:45 PM, 1 hour and 45 minutes behind schedule (original time: 4:00 PM).

  • Millat Express (to Lala Musa):
    Departed at 6:30 PM, instead of its planned 4:45 PM departure.

  • Shah Hussain Express (to Lahore):
    Departed at 10:30 PM, with a 1.5-hour delay.
