Heavy Rainfall Forecast for Sindh from September 7 to 10

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an advisory predicting intermittent heavy rainfall across various parts of Sindh between 7 and 10 September.

According to the forecast, a low-pressure weather system is expected to enter Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Sindh on 6 September. This system is likely to trigger widespread rain and thunderstorms in several districts.

Rainfall Expected in Sindh Districts

🌧️ Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Mirpurkhas – Rainfall starting from the evening or night of 6 September, continuing through 9 September.
🌧️ Sanghar, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, and Tando Muhammad Khan – Showers expected during the same period.

Karachi Weather Update

In Karachi, light showers may occur in isolated areas on 7 September. However, from 8 to 10 September, the city is likely to witness widespread thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain.

⚠️ Urban Flooding Alert
The Met Office has also cautioned that heavy downpours in Karachi could cause waterlogging in low-lying areas, increasing the risk of urban flooding.
