Singer Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch Injured in Rare Bear Attack at Deosai National Park
Skardu (September 5, 2025): Renowned Pakistani singer Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch (QB) was injured in a rare brown bear attack while camping at Deosai National Park, near the popular Bara Pani area.
The Incident
According to reports, QB and her team were camping when a Himalayan brown bear suddenly entered the site. The singer sustained serious arm injuries before her driver Muhammad Ibrahim Jhon, photographer Shahbaz, and local guides intervened, managing to scare the animal away and prevent a more tragic outcome.
She was given first aid at the scene and later shifted to DHQ Hospital Skardu. Doctors confirmed her injuries were not life-threatening, and she has since been discharged in stable condition.
Park Authorities Issue Warning
Deosai National Park, one of the world’s highest plateaus, is home to the endangered Himalayan brown bear. Authorities reminded visitors to strictly follow safety rules, including:
