Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Meets U.S. Congressional Delegation in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with a U.S. Congressional delegation in Islamabad on Sunday. The delegation included Congressmen Jack Bergman, Tom Suozzie, and Jonathan Jackson.
The meeting focused on key areas of mutual interest, including enhancing cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, security, and counter-terrorism.
During the discussion, Minister Naqvi emphasized that terrorism is a global issue that requires joint efforts from the international community. He stressed the importance of intelligence sharing and technological collaboration in the fight against terrorism.
Highlighting Pakistan’s significant contributions, the Interior Minister stated that the country’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism are unmatched. He expressed hope that the visit by the U.S. delegation would help further showcase Pakistan’s pivotal role in regional and global security efforts.
The Minister also appreciated the U.S. delegation’s participation in the recent Minerals Investment Forum held in Islamabad. He reiterated the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investment and ensuring complete security for investors and their interests in Pakistan.
Members of the U.S. delegation praised Pakistan’s efforts in counter-terrorism and acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in the United States, describing them as skilled and dedicated professionals.
The visit reflects a continued effort to strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United States across various sectors, with both sides expressing optimism for greater collaboration in the future.
