April 9, 2026

Islamabad United secured a convincing win over Lahore Qalandars in the 16th match of PSL 11 at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.

Conway Leads Comfortable Chase

Chasing a modest target of 101, Islamabad United comfortably reached the total with just one wicket down, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten innings by Devon Conway.

Conway played a match-winning knock of 59 runs, striking seven fours and three sixes. He anchored the innings with confidence and ensured there were no further setbacks after an early wicket.

Early Wicket but Strong Recovery

Islamabad had a slight hiccup at the start when Sameer Minhas was dismissed for 5 runs by Shaheen Afridi in the third over.

However, Conway partnered with Mohammad Faiq to stabilize the innings. Faiq contributed a valuable 34 runs as the duo built a solid partnership, taking the team past the 50-run mark within the powerplay.

Cameron Green led the bowling attack with figures of 3 for 19. He was well supported by Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Richard Gleeson, who picked up two wickets each to dismantle the Qalandars’ batting lineup.
