Luka Doncic Leads Slovenia to First EuroBasket 2025 Prep Win
Luka Doncic powered Slovenia to their first victory in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 preparation games, delivering a brilliant 28-point double-double in a 93-81 win over Great Britain at Stozice Arena on Tuesday.
Doncic showcased his trademark all-around game, scoring 21 points in the first half alone and finishing just shy of a triple-double. The Dallas Mavericks superstar ended the night with 28 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, and one block in just 28 minutes of play.
Gregor Hrovat added 15 points and Klemen Prepelic chipped in 12, while Great Britain saw five players score in double figures.
Breaking the Losing Streak
This win comes after Slovenia had dropped four straight exhibition games—two against Germany, one against Lithuania, and one against Latvia. The hosts seized control with a 13-2 run in the second quarter, building a 16-point cushion (40-24) and never looked back.

With Doncic in top form, Slovenia will look to make a strong statement when the competition begins on August 27.
