The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has released an updated list of 113 authorized Umrah operators for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri, in a bid to safeguard pilgrims from fraud and malpractice.

According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, the verified list has been uploaded to the ministry’s official website, allowing prospective pilgrims to confirm the authenticity of any company before booking.

Key Guidelines for Pilgrims

  • All payments must be made through banks directly into the account of the registered Umrah company.

  • Pilgrims should always obtain a payment receipt and keep a copy of the signed agreement.

  • Bookings must only be made with approved operators that provide complete Umrah packages, including visa, airfare, accommodation, and transport services.

Officials highlighted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve transparency and protect travelers from unlicensed agents offering incomplete or fraudulent packages.

The ministry has advised the public to remain vigilant and only engage with operators featured on the updated list.
