New Zealand Cricket Adds Jacob Duffy to Squad for Tri-Nation ODI Series in Pakistan
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced the inclusion of right-arm pacer Jacob Duffy in their squad for the upcoming tri-nation ODI series in Pakistan, set to take place from February 8 to 14. Duffy’s addition comes as cover for experienced fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, who is currently competing in the ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Duffy earned his spot following an outstanding performance in the recent home white-ball series against Sri Lanka, where he claimed 12 wickets in five matches and was named Player of the T20I Series. His impressive form has made him a valuable addition to the squad as they prepare for the series in Pakistan.
The New Zealand team will depart for Pakistan on Monday, with Duffy joining the squad. The tri-nation series will kick off with a match between New Zealand and hosts Pakistan on February 8 in Lahore. The Blackcaps will then face South Africa on February 10 at the same venue. If they qualify, they will travel to Karachi for the final on February 14.
Following the tri-series, New Zealand will begin their ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a highly anticipated opener against Pakistan on February 19 in Karachi. Their journey will continue with a group-stage match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 24, followed by a clash with India in Dubai on March 2.
