Pakistan Crush Bangladesh 8–0 to Secure Place in FIH World Cup Qualifier

Pakistan’s hockey team produced a dominant display as they overwhelmed Bangladesh 8–0, securing their spot in the FIH World Cup Qualifier and showcasing a powerful return to top-level form.

From the very first whistle, Pakistan took full control. The Green Shirts dictated the tempo, maintained strong possession, and consistently broke through the Bangladeshi defence with confidence and precision.

Another Powerful attacking performance

Just a day after scoring eight goals in their opening match, Pakistan’s forward line once again looked unstoppable. Continuous pressure inside the circle led to goals from multiple players.

Sufyan Khan opened the scoring in the 6th minute and added another in the 19th, both from penalty corners. Waheed Ashraf netted twice, while Waleed Rana, Hannan Shahid, Afraz, and captain Ammad Butt each contributed with a goal, sealing a commanding victory.

Spot Confirmed for FIH World Cup Qualifier

With this win, Pakistan now advances to the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifier, where they will compete alongside teams including Canada, Chile, USA, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Austria, England, France, Poland, Egypt, China, Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea. The top seven teams from the tournament will qualify for next year’s Hockey World Cup.

A Boost for Pakistan Hockey

This victory serves as a strong morale booster and highlights the team’s renewed energy and unity. The players maintained intensity throughout the match, demonstrating that Pakistan hockey is progressing in the right direction.
