On the field, India secured a convincing seven-wicket victory, driven by a strong spin attack led by Kuldeep Yadav.

The fixture carried added significance as it was the first meeting between Pakistan and India in an ICC event since May, following years of limited cricketing ties.

Despite political tensions and calls to boycott the contest, the match went ahead, marking another heated chapter in one of the most watched rivalries in world cricket.
