10-Day Snooker Tournament Concludes in Ghazni, Showcases Top Cueists
Ghazni City, August 26, 2025 – A 10-day friendly snooker tournament featuring 42 talented players has wrapped up in southern Ghazni province, highlighting the region’s growing interest in cue sports.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Training, in collaboration with the provincial snooker federation, said Bilal Mujahid, Director of Sports and Physical Training.

The tournament aimed to encourage youth participation and promote snooker in the province. Players also called for more facilities and training opportunities to compete at the national level.
Cueist Pir Mohammad said: “There are many fans of this game. Proper facilities and support will help us develop our skills and compete nationally.”
At the closing ceremony, certificates of appreciation and prizes were awarded to the top performers, recognizing their achievements and efforts.
The event has been hailed as a step forward for snooker in Ghazni, inspiring young players to pursue the sport and aim for larger competitions.
