Rs. 25 Billion Vehari–Multan Road Dualization Project Progressing Rapidly
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced significant progress in the dualization of the 95-kilometer Vehari–Multan Road, a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving travel and reducing congestion in South Punjab.
💰 Major Investment for Regional Development
The project carries a total investment of over Rs. 25 billion and is part of the provincial government’s broader effort to modernize critical transportation networks. Once completed, the upgraded road is expected to support the movement of over 24,000 vehicles daily, easing pressure on local routes and enhancing overall road safety.
🚗 Faster, Safer, and Smoother Travel
By connecting Vehari to the M-4 Motorway, the dualized road will reduce travel times, facilitate trade, and boost regional economic activity.
In a recent update shared via her official account on X (formerly Twitter), Maryam Nawaz referred to the road as a “vital arterial corridor”, underscoring its importance for both commuters and the economy.
🔧 Work in Full Swing
Construction is underway at full speed, with teams working around the clock to ensure timely completion. The dual carriageway is designed to meet modern standards, prioritizing durability, safety, and efficiency.
🌍 Economic and Social Impact
The project is not only expected to ease traffic congestion but also act as a catalyst for development in surrounding areas by improving access to markets, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
