South Africa Arrives in Pakistan for Two-Match Test Series

Lahore — The South African cricket team arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday ahead of a two-match Test series set to kick off on October 12, marking the start of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 for both teams.
The visitors will spend the next few days training and acclimatizing to local conditions before facing Pakistan in the red-ball series. The first Test will be held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore from October 12 to 16, while the second Test is scheduled at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.
Pakistan is eager to make a strong start after finishing at the bottom of the table in the last World Test Championship, losing nine of 14 matches. South Africa, meanwhile, aims to begin its title-defense campaign with confidence.
Following the Test series, the teams will compete in three T20Is and three ODIs from October 28 to November 8, with the squad for the white-ball series to be announced later.
