The World Games 2025 Women’s Softball tournament continued at the Xindu Better City Softball Arena in Chengdu, China, with four crucial matches determining semifinal spots.
In Group A, the USA continued their dominant run, defeating the Netherlands 8-1 in just five innings to remain unbeaten and secure top position in the group. Chinese Taipei and host nation China will now need strong performances in their remaining games to challenge for a semifinal spot.
Meanwhile, Group B saw Canada and Japan secure their places in the semifinals with victories over Australia and Puerto Rico, respectively. Both teams posted a perfect 2-0 record after two days of competition, setting up a showdown for first place in the group in their next encounter. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico and Australia have been eliminated from contention.
