Operation Details: The CTD spokesperson stated that Amin ul-Haq, a prominent Al-Qaeda terrorist listed on the United Nations’ global terrorist list, was apprehended following an intelligence-based operation (IBO). Legal proceedings against him have been initiated, and an investigation is currently underway.

CTD’s Commitment: CTD officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring a safe Punjab and emphasized their determination to eradicate terrorism. The department remains dedicated to eliminating terrorism from its roots.

Faizan Butt was involved in three attacks on police officers in Lahore within a week. He had shot and killed a sub-inspector and a constable and had also injured another police constable.

Suspect’s Modus Operandi: Faizan Butt had a knack for identifying unarmed police officers in uniform. He would occasionally roam the city, find a target, follow them, and shoot when the moment was right.
