PM Shehbaz Welcomes Islamic Scholar Dr. Zakir Naik, Praises His Contributions to Islam
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik during his visit to Pakistan, expressing that the global Muslim community, Ummah-e-Muslima, takes great pride in his work.
At the inaugural ceremony of the Pakistan Economic Dashboard in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz praised Dr. Naik for his dedication to spreading the true teachings of Islam worldwide. He acknowledged the scholar’s insightful and impactful lectures, which have garnered a significant following, particularly among younger audiences.
The Prime Minister also commended Dr. Naik’s family, noting with pride that his son is continuing his legacy by also serving the cause of Islam. PM Shehbaz emphasized the importance of promoting Islam as a religion of peace and compassion.
Reflecting on their long-standing connection, PM Shehbaz fondly recalled his first meeting with Dr. Naik in 2006 and expressed his admiration for Dr. Naik’s unwavering commitment to his mission.
During the visit, Dr. Zakir Naik shared his memories of first coming to Pakistan in 1991, highlighting the country’s unique foundation in the name of Islam.
He informed the Prime Minister that his current visit includes plans to deliver lectures in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, extending his mission to spread the message of peace and Islam throughout Pakistan.
