Wednesday’ Hunter Doohan shares big mysteries of season 2

Hunter Doohan Teases Big Mysteries in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Part 1

Hunter Doohan, who plays Tyler—the Hyde monster—in the hit series Wednesday, recently opened up about the intriguing mysteries revealed in season 2, part 1.

During an interview on the Just for Variety podcast, the Evil Dead Rise actor shared insights into the dramatic ending of the first part of season 2.

“There’s so much more to come about the big mysteries of the season,” Doohan hinted, keeping fans eager for what’s next.

In the finale of season 2, part 1, Tyler’s character shockingly kills his master Marilyn and throws Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, out of the window of an asylum.

“Tyler has a crazy arc. Without spoiling too much, episode four reveals he believes killing his master will free him,” Doohan explained.

He added that from Wednesday’s conversation at Willow Hill, viewers learn the Hyde cannot survive without a master, leaving Tyler unaware of the consequences of his actions.

“The story makes sense because Tyler and his master’s bond was weakening. For him, the only way to break free from this twisted relationship was to kill her,” he said.

Doohan also revealed the complexity of Tyler’s emotions, stating, “It was hard for him because he still has these really twisted feelings for her, but he had to get rid of her to be his true self.”

Season 2, part 1 of Wednesday was released on August 6, 2025. Fans can look forward to part 2, featuring four episodes, set to premiere on September 3, 2025.
