Earlier, Brooks Baldwin hit his eighth homer in the third inning to give the White Sox the lead. Sosa also smashed his 17th homer, a three-run shot in the sixth, pushing Chicago ahead 10-1. Kyle Teel and Benintendi each tallied four hits in Chicago’s 19-hit attack.

Pitching Highlights:

  • Yoendrys GΓ³mez (3-1) earned the win in his second career start, allowing four runs over five innings.

  • Grant Taylor closed the game with a scoreless ninth.

  • Braves starter Spencer Strider (5-11) struggled for the third straight start, giving up seven runs and 10 hits in just over three innings.

For Atlanta, Michael Harris II went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer, extending his hitting streak to 11 games and leading the majors with 49 hits since the All-Star break. Jurickson Profar also contributed two homers, a two-run shot in the sixth and a three-run homer in the eighth.
