European Super Cup Winners List: PSG Join Elite After Beating Tottenham
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have etched their name into European football history after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup. The French champions triumphed 4-3 on penalties after a dramatic 2-2 draw in Udine, Italy, to claim the trophy for the first time in their history.
This was PSG’s second attempt at the Super Cup, having lost the 1997 final to Juventus. Their victory now puts them alongside 14 other clubs who have lifted the prestigious trophy since it was first officially contested in 1973. The inaugural 1972 clash between Ajax and Rangers is not recognised by UEFA.
The European Super Cup roll of honour is as follows:

6 Titles – Real Madrid (2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2022, 2024)
-
5 Titles – Barcelona (1992, 1997, 2009, 2011, 2015), Milan (1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007)
