Olivia Weaver Withdraws from London Squash Classic Due to Injury

 September 5, 2025

Women’s top seed and World No.4 Olivia Weaver has been forced to withdraw from the London Squash Classic 2025 after suffering an adductor injury in her round two match against Rachel Arnold.

The USA No.1 was scheduled to play Belgium’s Nele Gilis at 14:45, but her exit means Gilis advances to the next round via a walkover. As a result, the Diego Elias vs. Youssef Ibrahim match has been rescheduled and will now start earlier at 15:15.

Tournament Impact

With Weaver sidelined, Nele Gilis moves directly into the semi-finals, where she will face the winner of the Satomi Watanabe vs. Tesni Murphy clash tomorrow.

Looking Ahead

Weaver’s withdrawal is a major blow to the tournament as she entered the Classic in top form. Fans will now be watching closely to see whether Gilis can capitalize on her advancement and book a place in the final.
