World Squash and SquashLevels Launch First-Ever Official World Junior Ratings

The global squash community has reached a new milestone as World Squash, in collaboration with SquashLevels, officially launches the World Junior Ratings — a first-of-its-kind system designed exclusively for junior players around the world.
A New Era for Junior Squash
For the first time, young squash players, coaches, and national federations can access a transparent, data-driven rating system that reflects real performance levels. The World Junior Ratings track results from international and national competitions, offering a fair and consistent way to assess progress and potential.
World Squash CEO William Louis-Marie welcomed the initiative, calling it “a significant step forward for the sport.”
“The introduction of the World Junior Ratings provides a global performance measurement system that celebrates participation, development, and excellence,” he said. “This will help young players and coaches everywhere set clearer goals and measure real growth.”
The new system aims to promote fairness in tournament seedings, improve benchmarking, and highlight emerging talent across regions. As more federations join the network, the ratings will evolve into a comprehensive global framework that supports both grassroots and elite-level development.
Recognition for Young Talent Worldwide
SquashLevels Co-CEO Jethro Binns praised the launch as a defining moment for the sport.
“We’re incredibly proud to go live with the World Junior Ratings,” Binns said. “This initiative gives junior players the recognition they deserve, no matter where they’re from.”
Currently, the top 50 junior players for 2025 have been ranked, with full age-group coverage expected as additional federations integrate their data. The system promises greater accuracy, fewer gaps, and fairer opportunities — especially for players from smaller nations with limited access to major tournaments.
With this launch, squash takes a major leap toward inclusivity and performance transparency, empowering the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential on the global stage.
