FC Barcelona to Promote 13-Year-Old Basketball Phenom Mohamed Dabone

FC Barcelona is set to make waves by promoting 13-year-old prodigy Mohamed Dabone to the first team next season. Standing at 2.10 m, Dabone has drawn comparisons to basketball stars Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo thanks to his rare combination of size, skill, and athleticism.

According to Ramon Palomar of Sport, Dabone will join forces with 17-year-old center Sayon Keita (2.12 m) in Barcelona’s senior squad, with both youngsters expected to play prominent roles.

Dabone has already impressed in youth competitions. At the EuroLeague Youth Tournament in Abu Dhabi, he averaged 12 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks against older opponents. He also dominated the ACB Youth Cup final versus Real Madrid’s prospects, scoring 22 points and grabbing 26 rebounds.

The rising star continued his strong form at the U16 Villa de La Orotava Tournament, recording 31 points, 19 rebounds, and 4 blocks against top youth talent. With such performances, Mohamed Dabone is quickly becoming one of Spain’s most exciting young basketball prospects.
