2025 Women’s Softball European Championship Set to Begin in Prague on 7 September
The 2025 Women’s Softball European Championship is all set to begin on 7 September in Prague, Czechia, where 21 national teams will battle for the continental title and three qualification spots for the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup 2026/27. The tournament will run until 13 September with thrilling action across the week.

Tournament Format & Groups
Based on the 2023 results, the top eight ranked nations go directly into the semifinal Pools X and Y:

Pool X: Italy (No. 10), Czechia (No. 11), Spain (No. 15), Germany (No. 20)

Pool Y: Netherlands (No. 6), Great Britain (No. 12), France (No. 22), Greece (No. 25)
The remaining 13 teams will compete in the first round for a chance to join the semifinal stage:

Group B: Ukraine (No. 21), Slovakia (No. 40), Denmark (No. 44)

Group C: Belgium (No. 28), Switzerland (No. 37), Finland (No. 53)

👉 Group winners will advance to the semifinal pools, where round-robin play will determine the six Super Round contenders. Teams that don’t advance will compete in the Placement Round to finalize rankings.

Road to the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup
The championship also serves as a qualifier for the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup 2026/27, which will feature 18 teams divided into three groups of six:

Group C: Oklahoma City, USA
The top two teams from each group will move on to the Finals in 2027, scheduled to take place in Redcliffe, Australia.

The European Championship will now decide the three European qualifiers, while two more will come from Africa and two from Oceania to complete the 18-team lineup.
