4 Punjab Districts to Get Model Agriculture Farms

Maryam Nawaz Launches Model Agriculture Malls to Empower Punjab Farmers

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has reiterated her government’s strong commitment to uplifting the province’s agricultural sector, stressing that farmers’ prosperity is essential for national progress.

Speaking at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Agriculture Department and GCI, the Chief Minister unveiled plans for Model Agriculture Malls in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, and Sahiwal.

One-Stop Solution for Farmers

Maryam Nawaz announced that all four Model Agriculture Malls will be fully operational within 45 days, offering farmers a comprehensive platform for agricultural support. These centers will provide:

  • Access to fertilizers, seeds, and other agricultural inputs

  • Financial services and support programs

  • Expert guidance from agronomists and field specialists

  • Use of modern farming equipment, including tractors and machinery

  • Rental services for small and medium-scale farmers

  • Introduction of drone spraying technology for efficient crop protection

Expansion Plans Across Punjab

In a major step forward, the Chief Minister also revealed that 10 more Model Agriculture Malls will be set up in other districts soon. The initiative aims to reduce reliance on middlemen, provide fair market access, and ensure that farmers receive timely and accurate support for improved productivity.

Calling it a record achievement, Maryam Nawaz said the project was delivered in a short span of time and reflects her government’s vision of modernising agriculture through innovation and technology.

“We are committed to turning Punjab’s agriculture into a powerful, tech-driven industry. Our farmers deserve the best tools, support, and facilities to thrive in today’s competitive world,” she said.
