Bangladesh Extends NOC for Two Peshawar Zalmi Players in PSL 11

 Apr 13, 2026

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has approved a one-day extension of the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for fast bowlers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam, allowing them to continue participating in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11.

Extension Granted After Franchise Request

According to official details, the extension was granted after requests from both the franchise and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). As a result, both players will now remain available for one additional match with Peshawar Zalmi on April 13.

Initially, their NOCs were valid until April 12. Following the revised approval, the two cricketers are expected to leave Pakistan after the April 13 fixture.

Return to National Duties

After completing their PSL commitments, both players are scheduled to join the Bangladesh national squad on April 14 as preparations continue for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.

Bangladesh recently announced a 15-member squad for the first two ODIs, retaining the same lineup that previously secured a 2–1 home series win over Pakistan.

The selection committee, led by Habibul Bashar, confirmed that Mehidy Hasan Miraz will continue to lead the side as captain.

Upcoming ODI Series Schedule

The ODI series against New Zealand will begin later this month, with the first two matches scheduled in Dhaka on April 17 and 20. The final match will be played in Chattogram on April 23.

Player Form Updates

Despite Bangladesh’s recent series success, some concerns remain regarding the performances of Saif Hassan and Afif Hossain, who averaged 17.33 and 19.00 respectively across the last series.
