Bohachuk vs. Adams Rematch Set for Canelo-Crawford Super Fight Undercard
Serhii Bohachuk and Brandon Adams are officially set to meet again in a high-stakes rematch, this time on one of the biggest stages in boxing. The two junior middleweights will clash on September 13 as part of the preliminary undercard for the blockbuster Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Terence “Bud” Crawford super fight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The announcement came from Dana White, whose Zuffa Boxing will serve as the lead promoter for the Netflix event. The undercard will also feature a stacked lineup of rising stars and established names.
A Rematch Four Years in the Making
The first Bohachuk-Adams fight took place in March 2021 under strict COVID-19 protocols in Puerto Rico, with no fans in attendance. On that night, Adams pulled off a stunning comeback, knocking out the then-unbeaten Bohachuk in the eighth round despite trailing on the scorecards.
This time, the rematch will unfold in front of tens of thousands of fans, offering both fighters a much brighter spotlight. With an expected crowd of over 65,000 for the main event, even the early fights will be staged in front of an audience far larger than either fighter has experienced before.
Where They Stand Now
Since that loss, Bohachuk (26-2, 24 KOs) rebounded with six consecutive wins, including a victory over Brian Mendoza to claim the WBC interim 154 lbs title. His momentum slowed after a close decision loss to Vergil Ortiz in 2024, but he has since bounced back with two strong performances, including a knockout of Ishmael Davis and a decision win over Mykal Fox.
Adams (25-4, 16 KOs), now 36, struggled to stay active after his upset victory. He returned in 2024, winning three fights before dropping a split decision to Andreas Katzourakis. The Los Angeles native is looking to prove he still belongs among the division’s top contenders.
Stacked Undercard on Netflix
The event, promoted by Zuffa Boxing in association with Canelo Promotions and Crawford’s TBC Fights, will feature five other exciting preliminary bouts, streaming live on Netflix’s YouTube channel starting at 5:30 p.m. ET:
