CAA Suspends Serene Air Flight Operations Over Lack of Serviceable Aircraft
Oct 3, 2025
ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has suspended the commercial flight operations of Serene Air due to the airline’s failure to maintain a fleet of serviceable aircraft.
In an official notification, the CAA expressed “grave concern” over the carrier’s inability to meet the regulatory requirement of maintaining a minimum number of operational aircraft.
“Serene Air currently has zero serviceable aircraft available, making it unable to conduct safe air operations under the applicable CAA rules and regulations,” the statement said.
As a result, the airline’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC) has been suspended with immediate effect, and the carrier has been instructed to surrender the certificate for official endorsement.
Serene Air has not yet issued a response to the CAA’s directive.
The suspension highlights ongoing regulatory scrutiny on Pakistani airlines to ensure safety and operational compliance, especially amid growing domestic and international air traffic.
