Islamabad: CDA Orders Comprehensive Record of All Housing Societies
Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed officials to compile a detailed database of all housing and cooperative societies operating within Islamabad’s jurisdiction.
Presiding over a key meeting, he instructed that a complete record of layout plans, no-objection certificates (NOCs), plot allotments, and related documents be collected—particularly for those societies that are issuing more plot files than the land they actually own.
⚖️ Strict Action Ordered Against Illegal Housing Societies
Randhawa emphasized that relevant departments of CDA and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) should take strict legal action, without any discrimination, against unauthorized housing schemes and unregistered cooperative societies.
During the session, the CDA’s Member Planning briefed participants on the ongoing actions being taken across various zones against illegal societies.

🌐 List of Legal & Illegal Societies Published on CDA Website
It was announced that a list of both legal and illegal housing societies has been uploaded on the CDA’s official website to ensure transparency and help the public verify the legal status of any society before making investments.
Additionally, steps were reviewed to crack down on unauthorized constructions, environmental violations, and material suppliers aiding illegal housing schemes—especially in both residential and rural zones of Islamabad.
