DRAP Issues Alert on Counterfeit Medicines in Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has issued a public warning about several counterfeit medicine batches circulating in parts of Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan, urging citizens to exercise caution.
According to DRAP, these fake medicines, branded under names of well-known local and international pharmaceutical companies, are being sold for conditions including fever, body pain, infections, digestive problems, gynecological issues, fungal diseases, and neuropathy.
The alert follows investigations by provincial health authorities and confirmation from drug testing laboratories. DRAP officials reported that a network responsible for producing and distributing these counterfeit drugs has been traced.

DRAP has shared images of the counterfeit products and urged the public to avoid buying medicines from unauthorized sources. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious drugs immediately to ensure safety.
