Pakistan Launches Prime Minister’s Laptop Loan Scheme 2025

The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister’s Laptop Loan Scheme 2025, providing students, freelancers, and young professionals an opportunity to purchase laptops through interest-free installment loans.

Loan Categories

The scheme offers three loan tiers to suit different needs:

• Basic: PKR 150,000

• Medium: PKR 300,000

• Advanced: PKR 450,000

Applicants can repay the loans in flexible monthly installments over multiple years.

Eligibility

The scheme is open to Pakistani citizens aged 18 to 35, including:

• University students

• Freelancers

• Young professionals

Priority will be given to applicants from low-income households. Government employees are not eligible.

Required Documents

Applicants need to submit:

• CNIC (front and back scanned copies)

• Recent passport-size photograph

• Proof of income (salary slip or guardian’s income statement)

• Educational certificates or university admission proof

• Freelancers can submit links to online profiles on platforms like Fiverr or Upwork

The application process is fully online via the official PM Youth Program portal. Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions early to secure approval.
