Former WBA Champion Tyron Zeuge Plots Comeback in Denmark Showdown on DAZN
August 8, 2025 –
Former WBA super-middleweight champion Tyron Zeuge is set to make a high-stakes return to the ring next month, as he headlines a DAZN-broadcast event in Kolding, Denmark. The German boxer, who boasts a professional record of 29 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw (16 KOs), will challenge for the WBO Global super-middleweight title.
Zeuge rose to prominence in 2016 when he captured the WBA title with a decision win over Giovanni De Carolis, following a draw with the Italian earlier that year. He successfully defended the belt against Isaac Ekpo (twice) and Paul Smith, before suffering a surprising fifth-round TKO loss to Rocky Fielding in 2018.
A Major Test Against Unbeaten Jacob Bank
In his September bout, Zeuge will face a formidable opponent: Denmark’s undefeated Jacob Bank, who holds a perfect record of 16-0 (8 KOs). The rising Danish star enters the biggest fight of his career with strong momentum, having most recently defeated Damian Biacho (17-0) via a ten-round decision in March.
For Zeuge, the fight marks a critical moment in his comeback journey. He last appeared in January on a local card in Cologne, where he secured a hard-earned ten-round victory over Serhat Parlak. In March 2024, he traveled to the UK but suffered a wide decision loss to Zach Parker (23-1).
Exciting Undercard Features Local and International Talent
The Kolding event also features several notable matchups:
-
Freddy Kiwitt (27-3, 17 KOs) will take on Ifrain Alcantara (12-3, 8 KOs) of Venezuela. Kiwitt is expected to return again later in Germany at the GP Joule Arena in Flensburg.
-
A heavyweight clash sees Kim Ljungquist (19-1, 12 KOs) face the undefeated Daniel Bulabula (8-0, 4 KOs) over ten rounds.
-
Rising super-middleweight Alexander Chupil (14-0, 9 KOs) is also on the card, with his opponent yet to be confirmed.
-
Undefeated prospect Ahmad El Ahmad (9-0, 2 KOs) will take on Bryan Zapata (4-5-1, 4 KOs) in what promises to be an action-packed bout.
Looking Ahead
With former champions, undefeated prospects, and thrilling matchups, the upcoming card in Denmark is shaping up to be a must-watch for boxing fans. The event will stream live on DAZN, bringing international attention to what could be a defining night in Tyron Zeuge’s career revival.
