Hockey Together Camp Concludes in Korea, Strengthening Global Ice Hockey 2025
The 2025 Hockey Together Camp successfully wrapped up after a week-long joint hosting in Seoul and Gangneung, South Korea, offering a unique development experience for ice hockey coaches and players worldwide.
Organized by the Korea Ice Hockey Association (KIHA) with support from the International Ice Hockey Federation, the IOC Olympic Solidarity Program, and various Korean sports bodies, the camp welcomed over 40 coaches from 25 countries across Asia, Oceania, and Europe. Local talent also played a key role, with Korean U15 players joining U16 teams from Hong Kong, creating a diverse and competitive environment.
The program blended classroom seminars on coaching, player safety, and athlete development with practical on-ice sessions at Gangneung, the historic venue of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The week culminated in competitive games featuring domestic and international youth teams, fostering both skill development and international friendship.
Chief Manager Susie Jo of KIHA highlighted the camp’s dual focus: “Our goal was to give coaches world-class knowledge and a chance to apply it immediately, while also building international friendships. Coordinating participants from 25 countries across two cities was challenging, but seeing the passion on the ice made it all worthwhile.”
The 2025 edition strengthened global connections and left participants with enhanced coaching skills, cultural understanding, and a shared commitment to growing ice hockey in their home countries. The Hockey Together Camp continues to unite the ice hockey community and promote the sport across Asia and Oceania.
