Gold Prices Hit Record Highs in Pakistan and Global Markets

  September 03, 2025

KARACHI: Gold prices surged to historic highs on Wednesday, setting new records in both local and international markets. In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 6,000 to reach Rs. 376,700, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs. 5,144, settling at Rs. 322,959, following a relatively stable trading day on Tuesday when gold per tola was priced at Rs. 370,700.

The global gold market mirrored this surge, with prices reaching a record $3,540 per ounce, including a $20 premium. This represents a $60 increase in a single day, highlighting rising demand and market volatility.

Silver prices also moved upward, with silver per tola increasing by Rs. 12 to Rs. 4,315, adding to gains in precious metals.

Experts suggest that these sharp increases are driven by market uncertainty and rising demand for safe-haven assets, making gold and silver attractive options for investors.

Stay tuned for the latest updates on gold and silver prices in Pakistan and international markets.
