Lahore Hosts Google’s Think Apps 2024, Uniting Top Developers and Global Leaders
Google’s Think Apps 2024 took place in Lahore on Wednesday, gathering nearly 350 of Pakistan’s leading developers along with global and regional industry experts, as announced on Thursday.
Following the success of last year’s event, Think Apps 2024, the largest of its kind in the industry, aimed to empower developers to leverage AI for innovation, growth, and sustainability within Pakistan’s growing app sector. Key areas of focus included creating high-quality, sustainable games and reaching global audiences.
Google is furthering its commitment to developer support with several new initiatives for 2024:
- Game Design Masterclass: A 6-month program designed for top Pakistani game developers to create high-quality games.
- Google Ads Academy: In-person hackathon workshops in Lahore and Islamabad offering marketing professionals training in app growth strategies.
- Build with AI and Cloud AI Study Jams: Hands-on training in AI and Cloud, with over 9,300 developers already benefiting from the program.
These new programs build upon existing Google initiatives, such as Google App Academy, which has reached over 800 participants and offers localized workshops in Urdu for marketing professionals.
Additionally, Google is enhancing engagement at major events like the Google Developer Conference (US), CXO meetups in APAC, and the APAC App Summit, connecting Pakistani gaming and app studio leaders with global counterparts.
