Govt Gives Relief in Petrol Price After Nearly Rs. 20 Per Liter Increase

Petroleum Prices Updated: Petrol Down, Diesel Slightly Up

The federal government has revised the prices of petroleum products for the upcoming fortnight, as per a notification issued by the Finance Division.

According to the latest update:

  • Petrol has been reduced by Rs. 7.54, bringing the new price to Rs. 264.61 per liter.

  • High-speed diesel (HSD) has seen a slight increase of Rs. 1.48, now priced at Rs. 285.83 per liter.

In the previous pricing cycle, petrol had increased by Rs. 5.36 to Rs. 272.15, while high-speed diesel rose by Rs. 11.37 to Rs. 284.35 per liter.

To offer context, on June 1, petrol and diesel were priced at Rs. 253.63 and Rs. 254.64 per liter, respectively. Since then, prices have seen several adjustments. Between June 1 and July 15, the price of petrol rose by Rs. 18.52 per liter, reflecting ongoing changes in global oil trends and local fiscal policy.
