Operating under the Food Safety Authority, the facility also analyzes samples of milk, water, spices, beverages, and meat, identifying whether the meat originates from a donkey, buffalo, or cow.
Equipped with cutting-edge systems like FTIR, HPLC, and UHPLC, the laboratory meets international testing standards, enabling quick and accurate results.
Officials have praised the lab as a game-changer for food safety in the region. It is expected to play a crucial role in identifying harmful, substandard, or non-halal products, thereby protecting consumers and restoring public confidence in food quality.
This proactive approach reflects the government’s strong commitment to ensuring safe, healthy, and halal food for all citizens.
