Lahore: The Lahore Police have intensified their crackdown on one-wheeling and underage driving, leading to the arrest of 126 individuals during the month of July 2025 alone. This is part of an ongoing campaign aimed at ensuring road safety and curbing reckless motorcycle stunts in the city.

Over 1,100 Arrests for One-Wheeling in 2025 So Far

According to official figures, law enforcement agencies have apprehended 1,187 individuals for one-wheeling across Lahore this year. Authorities have also registered 1,067 cases under relevant laws to combat these dangerous practices on public roads.

Special Checkpoints Set Up to Monitor Illegal Activities

Speaking on the matter, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamiana confirmed that special checkpoints have been deployed on major roads across Lahore. These checkpoints are being manned by teams from the Traffic Police, Dolphin Squad, and PERA Unit to monitor and prevent illegal racing and stunt driving.

Crackdown Extended to Mechanics and Bike Modifications

The CCPO further stated that strict legal action will be taken against motorcycle mechanics who modify bikes to enable dangerous stunts. Such alterations not only violate traffic regulations but also endanger the lives of riders and pedestrians.

Public Awareness and Youth Engagement Urged

Bilal Siddique Kamiana also made a strong appeal to the youth of Lahore, urging them to avoid one-wheeling, motorcycle modifications, and creating public nuisances on the roads. He emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility, and reckless behavior will not be tolerated.
